4:15 PM – 5:00 PM Striving for Social Justice
As women, we are particularly sensitive to the discrimination, violence, and pressures to conform that taint so much of our societies. Each of us can find ways to challenge these problems within our specific areas of expertise. However, we are all, always, contributing (or not) to a better society through our practices of representation. How we speak, write, and app; the language we use and the pictures we share make a difference. In this session, we will examine how this works and how we can aim for fairness in and through representation.
